Putco warrants Putco-branded products purchased through an authorized Putco reseller to be free of defects in workmanship and materials when properly installed on the initial customer’s vehicle. Coverage runs to the initial retail purchaser and starts on the date of first retail purchase. Terms differ by product group: 12-volt lighting products carry a one-year warranty; stainless steel and aluminum accessories carry a one-year warranty, and products finished in Putco’s NeverRust™ coating are additionally warranted against surface rust on the chrome or polished surface for as long as the part stays installed on the initial purchaser’s vehicle, while the finish on powder-coated Black Platinum and painted products is warranted for ninety days; ABS and ABS chrome trim carry a one-year warranty. Some product lines carry a longer extended warranty — the MOLLE panels, for example, are backed for three years — so check the product page for the line you are buying. Not covered: damage to the vehicle, vehicle systems or other components not made by Putco; improper installation; misuse, alterations or abuse; normal wear and loss of performance over time; lack of maintenance according to Putco’s instructions, including failure to clean and wax surfaces; damage caused by customer wiring or installation that does not follow Putco’s instructions and warnings; third-party negligence; and accidents. The exclusive remedy is, at Putco’s option and after Putco inspects the product and confirms a covered defect, either replacement with Putco products of equal or greater value or reimbursement of the purchase price. Labor, removal, shipping and installation costs are the customer’s responsibility, and the warranty is not transferable. To file a claim, go to putco.com/warranty with proof of purchase (required), photos or video of the product with a short description of the issue — including the year, make and model of the vehicle and any other aftermarket electronics fitted — and your contact details; Putco’s technical team may ask you to troubleshoot wiring and installation before a product qualifies for exchange or replacement. Separately from the warranty, Putco’s own return terms give 30 days from the date you receive the product: request a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from Putco first (support@putco.com or 515-393-5228), write it in large lettering on the outside of the box, and return the product in new, resalable condition with all original packaging, parts and accessories. Returns without a visible RMA number are refused, returns that cannot be resold may be charged a restocking fee, and used, damaged or non-resalable products, or products returned after the 30-day window, may be eligible for store credit only after inspection. Special orders and certain component parts are non-returnable.
