Edelbrock part #8728 spacer kit includes a 7/16" thick spacer and two 3/64" thick gaskets for a total thickness of 1/2". The kit also has new base to upper fasteners to accommodate the spacer. There are several benefits to the kit. First it raises the upper manifold 1/2" for increase valve cover to upper plenum clearance. It also provides heat insulation between the lower and upper manifolds.

Edelbrock warrants its products against defects in material and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase, except where a product line carries different terms: Performer Series carburetors and Race Division parts are covered for 90 days, Thunder Series AVS carburetors for one year, remanufactured carburetors for 30 days, and E-Force superchargers for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. Use of E85 fuel voids carburetor coverage. Racing or competition use, marine use unless the part is listed for marine applications, modification, improper installation or maintenance and excessive wear are excluded, and installation and removal costs are not covered. Claims are made through the place of purchase or directly with Edelbrock with proof of purchase; Pro-Flo EFI systems, crate engines, E-Force superchargers and cylinder heads are returned directly to Edelbrock.
