Manufacturer's Warranty — Bilstein
BILSTEIN (thyssenkrupp Bilstein of America) warrants its North American aftermarket products to the original retail purchaser against defects in material and workmanship. Coverage is tiered by product line: a Limited Lifetime Warranty — for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle it was installed on — applies to B4 OE Replacement, B6, B6 Performance, B6 4600, B8 Performance Plus, B8 5100 (including Ride Height Adjustable), B8 5112, B8 6112, B12, B14 (PSS) and B16 (PSS9 & PSS10). B4 OE Replacement (Air) air-suspension struts and steering racks carry a Limited 2-Year Warranty under the same terms, and motorsports products are covered separately, with the overall range running from 90 days to lifetime. The warranty is non-transferable and proof of purchase from an authorized BILSTEIN distributor is required. BILSTEIN's liability is limited to repair or replacement with a new or reconditioned unit; installation labor and consequential damages are excluded. Not covered: normal wear and tear, including dust boots and mounting hardware such as rubber bushings, ball joints and heim joints; improper installation or removal (impact tools, incorrect fastener torque); incorrect application — product fitted to a vehicle not listed in the BILSTEIN application catalog; severe environmental conditions and road-hazard impact damage; and racing or competition driving, on- or off-road. If your vehicle came with BILSTEIN dampers from the factory (original equipment), the claim goes to the vehicle manufacturer, not BILSTEIN. Because BILSTEIN processes claims through the place of purchase, if you bought it here, contact PitStopTuning and we'll obtain the Warranty Evaluation Form and file the claim with BILSTEIN for you rather than approaching BILSTEIN directly.
Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer and may change. Contact us if you need help with a warranty claim.
